When it comes to static electricity, everyone must be familiar with it. In the dry season, we will hear crackling sounds when we take off our clothes, and for example, we suddenly feel electrified when we touch other people. These are all static electricity. Static electricity often appears in our lives, but the impact of static electricity on electronic products cannot be ignored. Today, Chenghao Display will take you to learn how LCDs can prevent static electricity.

1. The influence of static electricity on LCD

(1) Static electricity will cause the chips or components on the LCD to burn directly. Once this happens, the consequences will often be heavy losses.

(2) Static electricity is also likely to cause abnormal LCD display, such as blurred screen and failure to display.

2. How to prevent static electricity on the LCD screen

The circuits, drive control, etc. in the color liquid crystal module use low voltage, and the micro-power consumption circuit is very easy to be broken down by static electricity, causing irreparable losses. Therefore, eliminating static electricity will change the production, storage and application of LCD. more important.

(1) Usually, the human body sometimes generates high-voltage static electricity of up to tens or hundreds of volts, and you should be extremely careful when assembling or using it to prevent static electricity;

(2) Do not use a vacuum cleaner when cleaning the LCD display, because the vacuum cleaner will generate strong static electricity;

(3) An environment with dry air will also generate static electricity. Therefore, it is recommended that the humidity in the workplace should be above RH60%. Floors, benches, chairs, shelves, carts and tools should all be in resistive contact to maintain the same potential;

(4) Be extra careful when packing or unpacking, because random replacement or unpacking will generate static electricity, which will easily damage the components on the LCD;

(5) Do not directly touch the metal frame, circuit board and the outer leads on the FPC. If you have to touch it, you should wear an electrostatic wristband and other equipment to keep the human body and the module at the same potential;

(6) The tools used to assemble the LCD module should be grounded to prevent static electricity. For example, the iron used for welding the LCD line and the electric tools used for operation should be well grounded.
