A TFT color screen, short for Thin Film Transistor, is a type of active-matrix liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD). This technology uses built-in thin-film transistors to actively control the switching state of each pixel, primarily applied in high-end display devices.
Its core structure comprises components such as a glass substrate, liquid crystal material, and thin-film transistors. Employing an “active matrix” drive method, it precisely regulates pixels through scanning signals. TFT screens feature a response time of approximately 80 milliseconds, a viewing angle up to 130 degrees, support for high brightness and high contrast displays, and enable precise color gradation control ranging from 65,536 to 16 million colors.
This technology significantly enhances display response speed and color reproduction accuracy. However, compared to other LCD screens, it has limitations such as higher power consumption and greater production costs. TFT-LCD is now widely used across various industries, including smart home displays, instrumentation displays, scanning equipment, and beauty devices.

TFT (Thin Film Transistor) is a type of active-matrix liquid crystal display. It actively controls each independent pixel on the screen, significantly improving response time.
Typically, TFT displays feature fast response times (around 80 milliseconds) and wide viewing angles (approximately 130 degrees), making them ideal for high-end display products. The term “thin-film field-effect transistor” refers to each liquid crystal pixel point being driven by a thin-film transistor integrated behind it, achieving high-speed, high-brightness, and high-contrast display effects.
TFT belongs to active matrix liquid crystal displays, employing “active matrix” drive technology. Its principle involves using transistor electrodes fabricated with thin-film technology to “actively pull” and control the on/off state of any display point through scanning.
When light strikes the panel, it first passes through the lower polarizer upward. Guided by liquid crystal molecules, the image is displayed through alternating light blocking and transmission, achieving clear and stable visual effects.
TFT-LCD displays, or thin-film transistor liquid crystal displays, are also known as “true color” (TFT) displays. Each pixel in a TFT LCD is equipped with a semiconductor switch, enabling direct control via pulse signals. This allows each pixel to operate relatively independently and be continuously adjusted.
This design not only enhances display response speed but also enables precise control over displayed color gradations, resulting in more authentic and vibrant colors on TFT LCD screens.
