LVDS (Low-Voltage Differential Signaling) is an electrical standard for high-speed data transmission, mainly used in display interface. It uses low-amplitude differential signals to achieve high-speed, low-power data #tft lcd display# transmission, and has strong anti-interference ability. The LVDS display interface is a mature and reliable high-speed data transmission solution.
Differential signal transmission:
LVDS uses a pair of wires (called differential pairs) to transmit signals, one of which is a positive signal line and the other is a negative signal line. The receiving end decodes the information by measuring the voltage difference between the two lines, rather than relying on absolute voltage levels.
Low voltage swing:
Typically, the voltage swing of LVDS is only about 350mV, which helps reduce power consumption and increase speed.
High data rate:
Due to its low voltage and differential signal characteristics, LVDS can support very high data transmission rates, usually up to several #touch screen module#hundred Mbps or even higher. LVDS supports higher bandwidth and can meet the needs of high-definition video and high refresh rate display.
Long-distance transmission: Compared with single-ended signals, LVDS can maintain signal integrity over longer distances and is suitable for connections between large-screen displays and motherboards or other control units.
Low power consumption:
LVDS’s low voltage signal significantly reduces energy consumption, making it an ideal choice for portable devices and embedded systems.
Strong anti-interference ability:
The design of the differential signal makes it highly resistant to noise, and the signal can remain stable even in long-distance transmission.
LVDS defines the standards for #color display module#the physical layer, including requirements for driver output impedance, receiver input threshold, maximum load capacitance, etc. Although LVDS specifies the operation at the underlying hardware level, it does not restrict the choice of upper-layer protocols, which means it can flexibly adapt to various application requirements.
